Shop this bi-weekly farmers market for fresh veggies, baked goods, meats, cheeses, coffee, breakfast, and more.  Enjoy live music while you support local growers and makers.


 

downtown history tour

Downtown History Tours – 1st Saturday
300 W 1st St, Rome, GA 30161
Ride along on our open air carts for this lovely tour. Each downtown tour is unique where groups are led through Rome’s historic downtown to discover its history, it’s beauty and its secrets.
Held the first Saturday of the month, May – Sep. Tickets are $10.


Rome Clocktower Tours – 1st Saturday
300 W 1st St, Rome, GA 30161
Every first Saturday, our iconic Clocktower is open for free tours, where you can climb the steps to the very top to get the best view of our wonderful city!
Entry is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance.


Rolling on the River Tours – 1st Sunday
Heritage Park, Rome, GA 30161
Perfect for all ages, the river tour offers a unique perspective on how Rome’s rivers have shaped the town’s history. $10/person.


Downtown Rome – First Fridays
June – September
Downtown Rome Town Green
Each month brings a different musical act to downtown Rome. Open container is permitted (but no outside coolers permitted) and the event is free thanks to the support of the downtown businesses. Grab dinner downtown and drinks as a perfect way to wind down for the week!

Cave Spring’s name sake cave is now open daily for tours and the spring fed lake is open weekends though Labor Day.


Spirit of the Sun – June 5
Heritage Park & River Dog Outpost
Bring on the good times with paddle races, yoga, live music, beer, boards and friendly vibes!
Novice and elite adult paddlers have the opportunity to race for awesome prizes and points.


RFPRA Ridge Ferry Park Concert Series-June 5
Ridge Ferry Park
Old Dominion returns to Rome! Their contemporary country has rocked the charts and returns to rock Rome! Tickets are $35.


Broad Street Unearthed Lecture Series
June 5, July 2, August 6, September 3
Rome Area History Center
Learn about the history of the making of Rome! Selena Tilly, historian at the Rome Area History Center will speak how each block was built and how has transformed to what it is today!
Lecture series is free and open to the public.


Dover quartetDover Quartet at Historic Desoto Theatre – June 6
Desoto Theatre
See the Dover Quartet, at the jewel of Broad Street! They have been called “String Quartet Nirvana by Santa Fe New Mexican and the Chicago Tribune says, “The Dover Quartet Players have it in them to become the next Guarneri String Quartet – they’re that good.”


Cave Spring Art Festival – June 12-13
Rolater Park, Cave Spring, GA
Shop local artists set-up throughout Rolater Park. Visit the the family friendly cave , take a cool dip in the 2nd largest “swimming hole” in Georgia, see the 2-story log Cabin that belonged to Cherokee Avery Vann before 1838, visit local shops, antiques and restaurants on the square in Cave Spring. Free admission.

This vibrant event is held in Rome’s up-and-coming River District. Enjoy craft vendors, sidewalk sales, live music and good vibes! Open Container will be allowed throughout the district. No outside coolers or drinks allowed.
