The Sulzbacher Roman Holiday is Rome’s 40-passenger excursion boat. It’s available for private events, and public excursions are also held throughout the year.
Rolling on the River public tours are great for all ages. The river tour offers a unique perspective on how Rome’s rivers have shaped the town’s history. All tours depart from Heritage Park in downtown Rome. Purchase your tickets here. Please note that a minimum of 20 participants must be reached in order for the cruise to make. Tours of the Rome-Floyd E.C.O. Center can be arranged in conjunction with rental of the Sulzbacher Roman Holiday for an additional $3.00 per person.
You may bring aboard any food or drink desired – tables and an ice chest are built into the boat! Planning a party? You can decorate the vessel in any style – just remember that you are responsible for clean-up of all food, drink and decorations. The Sulzbacher Roman Holiday is equipped with a PA and sound system with a microphone, CD player, radio, iPod, or MP3 player for jamming out or karaoke!
The Sulzbacher Roman Holiday is based in Downtown Rome’s Heritage Park.
Public tours are typically held the first Sunday of every month May – Oct.

The Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism is accepting applications for certified or certifiable Captains and will help qualified candidates with the process to attain the necessary US Coast Guard certification.
