Since everyone is starting to wear green ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, why not go green instead? With bold and unique flavors, you even a carnivore can find a new favorite!

Harbin Clinic Leprechaun-a-thon – March 17

Join Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation and Harbin Clinic for the most St. Patrick’s Day fun at the Leprechaun-a-thon 5k run and 2mi health walk! This year it is back at night and full of more glow, more foam, and more bubbles!

8th Annual Ginger Pride Parade – March 17

Since 2011, we pale, we freckly, we brave few, we gingers have taken to the streets (the shady side) to have a good time while also demonstrating the power of humor to deflect bullying. Al family event for all. Held in beautiful, historic Downtown Rome.

Georgia’s Rome St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl Flavor Tour – March 17

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style, with an immersive bar crawl and flavor experience like no other. Follow the guide through several of Rome’s most iconic craft beer bars and pubs, while sampling Roman takes on traditional Irish cuisine! Tickets available soon!

BCTC Presents “Urinetown” – March 1 – 4

In this Tony-winning musical set the not-so-distant future, a terrible water shortage and 20-year drought has led to a government ban on private toilets and a proliferation of paid public toilets. If the poor don’t obey the strict laws prohibiting free urination, they’ll be sent to the dreaded and mysterious “Urinetown.”

Berry Half Marathon ~ 10K ~ 5K – March 10

Join runners from across the Southeast as they experience the largest campus in the world on foot – Berry College’s 27,000 acre wonderland, packed with miles and miles of historic buildings, pristine forest, and diverse wildlife. Run among some of Berry’s 1,200+ deer and enjoy the hospitality of our school/college volunteers!

Big Fibbers Storytelling Festival – March 16

If it’s St. Patrick’s Day, it is time for Northwest Georgia’s premier annual three-day storytelling festival: Big Fibbers. The 2018 Festival will feature Emmy-award winning teller, Bobby Norfolk, and Oracle-award winning teller, Sherry Norfolk and other tellers.

Rome Little Theatre Presents – Seussical – March 16 – 25

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge–not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

Jeanne Robertson – Humorist – March 17

Join us for a St. Patrick’s evening you will never forget with American humorist and motivational speaker Jeanne Robertson! Winner of the coveted “Cavett Award” for speaking, Ms. Robertson charms audiences nationally with her original and hilarious stories.

Georgia Steeplechase – April 7

Big hats, fast horses, and bourbon. Is it the Kentucky Derby? Nope, this is the Georgia Steeplechase. For over 52 years Atlantans have been gathering to cheer on the quickest championship horses of their day.We are keeping the tradition alive.

The Spring Art Market is upon us! This market will feature several Georgia Artists that offer the most creative, unique, and high quality items around ! You will see some of your favorite artist from the winter art market but also some new faces that will bring brand new items to the table!

Annual Chieftains Herb & Plant Sale – April 15 – FREE EVENT

It’s time to dust off your gardening gloves—the 2018 Herb & Plant Sale is almost here! This year’s sale will take place on April 14th and 15th in the Village Building at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, with sale hours from 8:00am-4:00pm on Saturday and 12:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday. Experts from the Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteers of Floyd County will be on site from 12:00-2:00pm to answer all your plant related questions.

Seven Hills Performing Arts Festival – April 28 – FREE EVENT

Presented by the Rome Symphony Orchestra – Join us for our first family fund day celebrating the fine arts, games, activities, and music for the whole family. And it is FREE! Family concert at 1:00 pm in the Auditorium conducted by Maestro Jeffrey Dokken.

Young Artists Concert – April 28

The 8th Annual Young Artists Competition winners perform with the return of Maestro Jeffrey Dokken. You will be dazzled by the musical talent and skills of these young musicians as they perform with the Orchestra.
