Cave Spring Arts & Crafts Festival
The Cave Spring Arts and Crafts Festival is one of the largest festivals in Northwest Georgia – featuring two-dimensional art and three-dimensional art, food vendors, children’s activities and a festive atmosphere.
Enjoy a variety of vendors, eat lunch, go in the cave, take a cool dip in the purported 2nd largest “swimming hole” in Georgia, see the 2-story log Cabin that belonged to Cherokee Avery Vann before 1838, visit upscale and antique shops in Cave Spring, Plan a lovely day driving through the lush valleys of Northwest Georgia to Cave Spring, only 16 miles from Rome and about 75 miles from Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Birmingham.

Join us at the Forum River Center for the Meet the Magic: Live Character Event featuring live performances, meet & greets with your favorite characters, themed activities, dance parties, singalongs, and fun for the whole family!
Doors open at 9:45 AM and the Meet & Greet begins at 10:00 AM; concessions will be onsite for purchase.
Children ages 2 and under are free. Costumes are encouraged for children ages 10 and under, and guests with special needs of any age are welcome to dress up.

Shakespeare River Run 2026 – 5K Run & Family Walk
The inaugural SHAKESPEARE RIVER RUN will take place Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. with a Family Fun Walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. The course will begin and end at the Bridgepoint Plaza in historic downtown Rome, Georgia.
- The SHAKESPEARE RIVER RUN is being held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Rome Shakespeare Festival and Rome’s first ever Renaissance Fair.
- All proceeds go toward the production of the festival which allows us to continue bringing high-quality, FREE Shakespearean theatre to the Rome community.
- Runners will enjoy a beautiful and fun, fast, family-oriented 5K and 1-mile family walk course along the scenic Etowah, Coosa and Oostanaula Rivers where they just might catch glimpses of pixie fairies frolicking along the banks, the “mechanical actors” rehearsing their scene, or even the Bard, himself!
- COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED!
