COVID-19 Update:

Berry College will open it’s campus to the public for recreation beginning June 13 and on weekends only.

The campus will be accessible to the public from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays for outdoor recreation (hiking, biking, running, etc.) Please plan ahead as campus buildings (and restrooms) will not be open. Photo sessions cannot be accommodated at this time.

For the health and safety of the Berry community, the campus will remain closed to the public Monday to Friday. College officials will continue to monitor local, state and campus conditions and will provide updates as needed. Check for more information.

Berry College’s beautiful and expansive campus attracts joggers, hikers, cyclists and horseback riders from the Rome area and beyond. We welcome you to our property and hope you enjoy seeing the rolling hills, lovely vistas and plentiful wildlife while you are with us.

The Viking Trail, a three-mile paved trail for walkers, runners, cyclists and rollerbladers, runs between the main campus and the mountain campus. It is one of our most popular trails and is open during daylight hours from the Ladd Center to the entrance to the mountain campus. Designated trails for horseback riders, mountain bikers, joggers and hikers also have been established. Click here for a list of all trails at Berry College.
