Looking for more fun activities for both you and the kiddos while you #StayAtHome? We have you covered! Below are some virtual events produced by museums, organizations and artists in Georgia’s Rome.

Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home – Weekly Activities

Chieftains is posting online learning activities to their museum website twice per week and will include a variety of craft and learning activities for students. Activities will help participants learn about the lives of the Ridge family and the 19th century Cherokee. Upload your finished artwork to social media and make sure to tag them!

Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful – Virtual Story Time & Activities

Keep Rome Floyd-Beautiful is offering a virtual story time for kids via Facebook every Wednesday at 10 am. They also have great educational and fun resources on their website. 

Rome Symphony Orchestra – Virtual Concerts

Music and art can play an important role to help maintain some sense of normalcy during this time.  The Rome Symphony Orchestra cellists, Mr. Ben Van Winkle, a multi instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer offers a beautiful virtual performance:

AR Workshop Rome

AR Workshop is offering many DIY Kits (for delivery or curbside) to help you have fun while you stay at home.  The have also been offering fun contests and inspiration from others who have made their projects on their Facebook page.

The Spark Conference

Berry College Student Enterprises and the Center for Student Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (C-SEED) have partnered with the Rome Floyd Chamber to host the 2020 Spark Conference! The invite everyone to watch live for student presentations on topics such as strategic thinking and collaboration. Everyone is invited to attend this valuable conference virtually, Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m.

COVID-19 Weekly Update – Floyd Medical Center

We all feel better when we feel informed. Every Wednesday at 3 p.m., Floyd Medical Center officials will share the latest information on COVID-19 updates to help addresses current concerns of the community. You can view the Facebook Live on the Floyd Medical Facebook Page.
