Shake off those winter blues with these springtime events in beautiful Georgia’s Rome!


April 4-6: Rome Emperors Home Opener Weekend

Cheer on your Rome Emperors in their home opening game of the 2025 season against the Winston-Salem.  View the game calendar to see which promotions and specials are offered at each game. 


April 5: Downtown History Tours

Join the Rome Area History Center for a guided tour of historic downtown Rome! This year, each tour will highlight a different downtown block and a look inside a historic building on the block. Discover Rome’s history, beauty, and secrets. Purchase tickets


April 5-6: Georgia’s Rome Spring Art Market

Join us on April 5th and 6th for our annual Spring Art Market! We will have a wide variety of locally made items to choose from! This is a family-friendly event, featuring local pottery, food, art and so much more!


April 11-13: Chieftains Herb & Plant Sale

Eagerly anticipated by area gardeners, the Chieftains Herb and Plant Sale will be held this year on Saturday, April 12th and Sunday, April 13th at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, rain or shine. Sale hours are 9am to 4pm on Saturday and 12pm to 3pm on Sunday. Museum members are invited to shop early on Friday, April 11th from 5pm to 8pm.


April 18-19: Pirates of Penzance- RSO

In collaboration with the Rome Shakespeare Festival

With the power and beauty of the Rome Symphony Orchestra, and the vision and talent of the Rome Shakespeare Festival’s actors and staff, this epic and truly special collaboration is not to be missed!


May 3 – Cave Spring Bacon Fest and Car Show

Come out to Rolater Park and enjoy all types of homemade bacon dishes to “taste”, a fun car show, and wonderful vendors! Admission will be $5.cave spring baconfest


May 3 – RoFlo Fest

Formerly artsfest, RoFlo Fest celebrates the best of Rome and Floyd County’s arts and culture! This vibrant event will include vendors, local musicians, and nonprofits hosting fun kid-friendly activities. Downtown retailers will host sidewalk sales throughout the day.


May 3 – Backyard BBQ-Bash

Enjoy BBQ Tasting, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, and car show at Ridge Ferry Park.

May 4 – Rolling on the Rivers- Roman Holiday Tour

Come aboard the Sulzbacher Roman Holiday for a one-of-a-kind experience touring Rome by boat. Cruise down the Coosa River in style while learning about the rich history of Rome’s rivers. Purchase tickets

May 2-11: Rome Little Theatre presents- “Mystic Pizza”

Based on the beloved 1988 MGM rom-com that launched the career of Julia Roberts, Mystic Pizza is a new musical about three working-class girls who navigate the complexities of life, love and family in a small-town pizza joint serving everyone from the townies to the privileged country club set.


May 17 – RAD Arts Fest

Enjoy festivities including live music, live painting, vendors, fire performers, food trucks and shopping in the River Arts District.rad arts fest
