About KC & The Sunshine Band

KC and the Sunshine Band have been making the world dance for over 50 years. Founded by Harry Wayne Casey (KC), the band pioneered a signature blend of R&B, funk, pop, and Latin percussion that helped define the disco era and change the sound of modern pop music.
With more than 100 million records sold, nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards, and an American Music Award, KC delivered timeless #1 hits including “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It),” “Shake Your Booty,” “I’m Your Boogie Man,” and “Give It Up.” They became the first act since The Beatles to score four #1 pop singles in a single year.
KC’s music remains a cultural staple—featured in major films, commercials, television shows, sporting events, and the Olympics—while continuing to influence generations of artists across genres. Today, KC and the Sunshine Band perform over 100 shows annually around the world, celebrating five decades of feel-good music that keeps audiences on their feet.
The Forum River Center has a clear bag policy. Bags can be clear plastic or vinyl and cannot exceed a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags size (Ziploc bag or similar). Diaper Bags are not allowed.
The following items are NOT permitted: professional and/or flash photography, or video/audio recording devices; weapons of any kind including guns or pocket knives; outside food and drinks; backpacks; items that may disrupt the concert experience.

Rome’s 2026 Fireworks Extravaganza Independence Day Celebration
Ridge Ferry Park Opens at 4 p.m.
Food trucks at the park
Inflatables for kids
Face painting for kids
Family fun outdoor games
Parking fee $5
No large coolers, no pets, no drones, no sparklers or other fireworks
Get ready for a fun-filled day on July 4th, as the Independence Day Celebration sponsored by Atrium Health Floyd takes over Ridge Ferry Park.
The park opens to the public at 4 p.m. with food trucks and concessions available. The inflatables in the kids zone open at 4 p.m., wristbands are $5.
All of this helps lead up to the grand finale of the evening, a fireworks show that will be shot from the top of Jackson Hill starting at approximately 9:30 p.m. Zambelli Fireworks is once again shooting the display that will feature more than 1,500 fireworks of all types, colors, and sizes.
“We look forward to this event every year, and we want everyone to come out to the park and enjoy a great day of food, fun, music, and, of course, fireworks,” Todd Wofford, RFPRA Director, says. “We also want to thank Atrium Health Floyd for sponsoring this great event.”
Rome Radio Partners will once again be broadcasting a simulcast featuring patriotic music to go along with the display. Entrance to the event is free, but it is $5 to park.
Everyone is reminded that there are some limitations for Ridge Ferry Park, including no large coolers, no pets, no drones, no sparklers, and no fires. The main parking lot at Ridge Ferry is reserved for handicapped parking only, with regular parking available at the Shoals Side of Ridge Ferry, where the dog park is located.
