Big news! The City of Rome and Floyd County have officially taken the pledge to join the Greatest American Cleanup!

Together, we are committing to help create a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful community as we work toward America’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

Our nation’s goal is ambitious: removing 25 billion pieces of litter from parks, waterways, roadsides, and public spaces by July 4, 2026. But with our community working together, we know it is possible!

By taking the pledge, the City of Rome and Floyd County are committing to:
Pick up litter
Plant native trees and plants
Protect our waterways
Beautify our neighborhoods
Inspire others to get involved
