This year’s festival will be held November 7 – 10, 2019
RIFF welcomes films and filmmakers from around the globe to share the art of independent film with regional audiences, to entertain and enlighten festival attendees, to provide filmmakers the opportunity for professional networking and development, and to encourage cultural tourism and film industry development in Rome, Georgia and the surrounding area.
The Rome International Film Festival is a filmmaker-friendly festival that focuses on quality programming of all genres. We want to give a heightened sense of the experience to all who participate and attend. RIFF goes above and beyond to make all of our visiting filmmakers have a great experience.
The lively rhythm of conga drums and the sounds of trumpets will have audiences itching to get up and dance during the award-winning documentary film “Rubén Blades is Not My Name,” by Abner Benaim at the Rome International Film Festival. The film follows the legacy of Latin American icon Rubén Blades whose grammy-award winning music brought Salsa to an international audience.
The film will screen at the Rome City Auditorium on Friday, November 8th at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a Salsa dancing party at Brewhouse Music & Grill on Broad Street at 9 p.m.
Tickets to the film and party cost $35, but for those who just want to view the film, tickets are $10. For anyone who simply wants to attend the party, tickets are $35. Tickets are on sale now at http://bit.ly/RIFFRubenBlades.
