The Clocktower is open April-November for public tours. Climb the steps to the very top to get the best view of our wonderful city! See the history of Rome in a painted mural depicting the founding of Rome through present day on the interior of the tower (Limit 20 people at clocktower top at a time). Private tours are available by appointment (details below). Ticket holders who do not show up for their registered time will lose their time slot and are not guaranteed another slot.
Public Tours
Tours are offered every first Saturday, April – September, 12 pm – 2 pm. Tickets are posted and sold online.
Tickets: $10
To avoid online ticket fees, tickets may also be purchased by cash in-person: Georgia’s Rome Gift Shop & Welcome Center (at both the Jackson Hill & history center locations)
Tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by organizer. Ticket sales benefit the Rome Clocktower Restoration Fund.
Group/Private Tours
Book a tour with one of our local guides; personalized based on your needs. Tours offered include Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Civil War History, River Heritage, Clocktower & Downtown Rome History. Advance reservations required. A fee is required for the tour guide: Students/Non-profit – $75/hr ($50 add’tl) Private: $100/hr ($85 add’tl)
