The Clocktower is open April-November (except October) for public tours held the first Saturday of the month. Climb the steps to the very top to get the best view of our wonderful city! See the history of Rome in a painted mural depicting the founding of Rome through present day on the interior of the tower.
The Clocktower Hill, also known as Neely Hill, is beautiful. It is surrounded by gardens, including the As Time Goes By Garden which blooms year-round.

Clocktower Fall Spectacular – 1st Saturday in November
– A first Saturday November tour is held 5 to 6 pm. This tour is ideal for amateur and professional photographers who want to capture the fall colors.
Tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by organizer. To avoid online ticket fees, tickets may also be purchased by cash in-person: Georgia’s Rome Gift Shop & Welcome Center (at both the Jackson Hill & history center locations) Ticket sales benefit the Rome Clocktower Restoration Fund. Limit 20 people at clocktower top at a time.
Book a tour with one of our local guides; personalized based on your needs. Tours offered include Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Civil War History, River Heritage, Clocktower & Downtown Rome History. Advance reservations required. A fee is required for the tour guide: Students/Non-profit – $75/hr ($50 add’tl) Private: $100/hr ($85 add’tl)
