The Rome Area History Center hosts public tours the months of April, May, June, September and October. Climb the steps to the very top to get the best view of our wonderful city! See the history of Rome through murals depicting the founding of Rome through present-day on the interior of the tower

 


Clocktower Tours

Public Tour Tickets: $10
Tickets are required for entry; cost is $10 per person and must be reserved in advance.
Dates:
2024 tours are cancelled due to planned clocktower restoration efforts. The clocktower is over 150 years old, so renovations are necessary to maintain the iconic structure; we will announce 2025 dates after renovations are completed.

There is a limit of 20 people at the top of the clocktower at a time. Tickets are available in 30-minute time slots between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Please arrive on time; tickets are valid during the time block reserved. Ticket holders who do not show up for their registered time may lose their time slot and are not guaranteed another slot.

 

Tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by organizer. To avoid online ticket fees, tickets may also be purchased by cash in-person: Georgia’s Rome Gift Shop & Welcome Center (at both the Jackson Hill & history center locations) Ticket sales benefit the Rome Clocktower Restoration Fund. Limit 20 people at clocktower top at a time.


Group/Private Clocktower Tours

Book a Clocktower Tour with one of our local guides; personalized based on your needs. Note: Private tours cannot be offered at this time due to planned clocktower restoration efforts.

Students/Non-profit – $75/hr ($50 add’tl)
Private: $100/hr ($85 add’tl)

Student Tours:
Clocktower only – $2/student
History Center only – $2/student
Walking Tour only – $2 student
Clock/History Center/Walking – $5/student

The Clocktower Hill, also known as Neely Hill, is beautiful. It is surrounded by gardens, including the As Time Goes By Garden which blooms year-round.
