On Sept. 21, the City of Rome received a huge donation to the Clocktower Restoration Fund in the form of a $2,000 check from the Rome Area Heritage Foundation, as well as an additional $250 for a brick that will be placed in the walkway to the clocktower to display the name of the donors.
RAHF President, Paula Blaylock, and Treasurer, Jack Summerbell, presented the check to City Manager, Sammy Rich. The donation will hopefully encourage more to donate to the cause.
Currently, $660 has been donated to the restoration of the Clocktower. The city of Rome cares deeply about its local heritage and landmarks, and we hope you can give a gift to our beloved Clocktower.
