Paris Lake is a beautiful public lake located on the campus of Georgia Highlands. The area offers many outdoor amenities including:
- Trail: 1.85 miles, gravel path loops around the lake (Easy)
- Picnic area: picnic tables & covered pavilion
- Living Wetland: located off the trail; nearby wetland is accessible by a boardwalk where you can see reptiles, amphibians, butterflies, dragonflies and more
- Geocaching: several caches are located throughout the trail
- Wildlife Watching: deer, beavers, rabbits, reptiles, bald eagles
- Bird Watching: bald eagles, songbirds, waterfowl, seagulls, pelicans and herrings
- Fishing: bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, catfish, shad, carp. Note: The lake is regulated under all state fish and game laws, so anglers should be sure to bring their fishing licenses.
- Lake Access: boats & paddle vessels (gas-powered motors are prohibited and swimming is prohibited)
