As the lazy days of summer dwindle to an end, there is an air of excitement about the inevitable approach of fall and with it the cooler temperatures it brings. Summer gives us the opportunity to explore the trails and rivers while fall is the season of events and activities, and there is something extra special about fall in downtown historic Rome, Georgia.

With special events scheduled through the end of the year, it’s a wonderful time to plan the weekend getaway that got away from you all summer; that’s why we have selected 5 of our favorite upcoming events. The hard part is deciding which weekend to visit!

Live Music Every Third Friday at The Courtyard Rome Riverwalk

Fridays on the patio at The Courtyard have quickly become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. For starters, the venue is situated on the Etowah river overlooking a beautiful walking bridge and downtown Rome creating arguably the best view of the city.

Taking full advantage of the setting, the live performances are always on the patio with comfortable seating and an outdoor bar and grill, creating the perfect Friday night vibe. Adding to that vibe is musical artist and Rome native Kevin Allen who is a frequent performer and crowd favorite. Kevin’s charisma, voice, and overall stage presence will take your most popular songs and make you love them all over again whether he’s singing the blues, soul, R & B or pop.

Kevin Allen’s next performance is Friday, August 16. Additional performances for the remainder of the year are Friday, September 20 and Friday, October 18. All shows are from 6:30pm – 10:30pm. Admission is always free.
