Last Stop Gift Shop To Host Candlelight Book Signing

Posted November 6, 2017 by Georgia's Rome in News, News Release

The Last Stop Gift Shop will be hosting a book signing featuring Laura Woford’s, Coloring Meditations for a Full Life on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Woford’s book is designed to promote stress relief through coloring, while combining art and prayer.

Using the book, readers meditate upon the wisdom of St. Teresa of Avila while coloring scenes of Avila or scenes evoked by her words. In this quiet, simple activity, readers enter a wise world of peace and joy. This book makes the book of her life accessible and applicable to all kinds of people living now. People using it will pray in a fun, focused and fruitful way of using art even if they are not artists.

Laura Woford is a Rome resident and in mid-2017 founded Art2Pray, a small initiative with the aim to help bring people to peace and a deep connection to Christ through exploration of simple art techniques that anyone can learn. Woford earned her degree in Art from the University of Southern Indiana, and later trained to be a catechist in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program.

The Last Stop Gift Shop is located at 402 Civic Center Dr., Rome, Ga., located across from Applebee’s and Steak n’ Shake. For more information, please contact the Last Stop Gift Shop at 706-295-5576.
