Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism is Calling all Local and State Artists for Winter Art Market

Posted August 15, 2017 by Kristi Kent in Uncategorized

The gift shop at Georgia’s Rome office of tourism announces a call for artists for the 6th Annual Winter Art Market to be held Saturday, December 2, 2017, 10 a.m-6 p.m. and Sunday, December 3, 2017, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. The art market will take place at the Rome Civic Center. All local and state artists are invited to apply.

Market managers are seeking unique items that display an artist’s talent and personality. All items must be crafted or handmade by the artist. “Our mission is to help promote Georgia artist and make our community aware of all the talent it holds,” said Charlene Mathis, event organizer, and Last Stop Gift Shop Manager. Mathis added that the market is timed perfectly for artists looking to showcase and sell their works in time for the busy, holiday shopping season.

Food, jewelry, pottery, paintings, photography, signs, clothing, woodworking, glass and more are welcome at the Winter Art Market.

Visit the Winter Art Market web page at RomeGeorgia.org/WinterArt to download an application. Applications are also available at the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center located at 402 Civic Center Drive. Details including booth costs and tent sizes are available on the application. Applications must be submitted no later than Monday, October 16, 2017, by email at Cmathis@romega.us or Dlaw@romega.us. Applications can also be mailed to the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center.

This event is sponsored by the Last Stop Gift Shop. For more information on the Winter Art Market, please call 706.295.5576.
