Rome Grown, Rome Made Farmers Markets

Posted June 21, 2017 by Kristi Kent in Arts, Downtown, Events, Life in Rome, Shopping

Nothing says summer like fresh vegetables, garden herbs, and colorful flowers. Discover a delightful bounty of Rome Grown, Rome Made products at Rome Farmers Markets located at the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center.

The market includes fresh tomatoes, peppers, green beans, cucumbers, herbs, sunflowers, and zinnias.  The Farmers Markets not only features farm fresh food but also offers Georgia’s Rome signature gifts.

Nan Selman, a local farmer, has handcrafted birdhouses and benches for purchase that would look great in any home. Nan can even add personal touches to all the items she creates just for you.

The Rome Farmers Market is also participating in “Rome Rocks“, a hide and seek game for all ages. It is free to participate and the market has rocks, paint, and brushes available. All ages are welcome! Come paint a rock and learn how to play the game.

The market is held at the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center rain or shine on Friday’s 9 a.m-12 p.m. For more information on the market, contact the Last Stop Gift Shop at 706.295.5576
