FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Traffic Schedule for “The Kingmakers” Filming

ROME, GA. — Filming for ABC Studios production of “The Kingmakers” will take place at several locations within the City of Rome, Cave Spring and Floyd County.  Filming may cause traffic delays due to intermittent traffic control and street closures at the following scheduled locations.

City of Rome Filming:

March 24 & March 25
There will be intermittent traffic control from 9 AM to 3 PM on Second Avenue Bridge and Fifth Avenue Bridge. Traffic will be held up to 5 minutes while actively filming.

April 1
There will be portions of roads closed to thru traffic from 5 AM – 11 PM to include:  West First Street between Second and Third Avenues and the left turn lane from Broad Street, southbound to Second Avenue. Additionally, there will be no parking on Broad Street (southbound) from 201-231 Broad from 5 AM – 11 PM. The parking deck will be accessible from Third Avenue.

County Filming:

March 26
There will be intermittent traffic control from 9 AM – 3 PM on Hwy 411/53, Cunningham Road and in Cave Spring.

The schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen conditions such as weather.

The public is invited to watch filming on Tuesday, March 24 to be part of a crowd scene filmed on the Oostanaula River from 11 AM – 4 PM. Spectators are asked to line the town green riverfront and pedestrian bridge to watch, and cheer on the rowing regatta that will take place on the river. For the best chance to be featured on TV, participants are encouraged to wear blue apparel without logos, brands, or school emblems. Additionally, participants are advised to avoid red, which is not a camera friendly color.
