Third annual Winter Art Market at Rome Civic Center

ROME, GA. — Returning to Rome Civic Center for the third year, the Winter Art Market is Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 50 juried artists from around the state of Georgia will offer an array of contemporary crafts in pottery, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, leather, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography and fine art.

The Winter Art Market is part of the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau initiative to build on the local arts community by creating opportunities to increase the visibility of their talents.

Last Stop Gift Shop manager, Charlene Mathis, believes this is the perfect time of the year for an art market: “Many local artists work all year to prepare for the busy holiday shopping season. The Winter Art Market offers beautifully crafted handmade gifts perfect for everyone, especially that hard to shop for person on your list.”

The Winter Art Market is a family friendly event featuring hourly door prizes, holiday music, and multiple food vendors to satisfy a diverse set of appetites.

Admission to the event and parking is free. The Winter Art Market is sponsored by the Last Stop Gift Shop and Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau.
