FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Adcock to sign books at visitor center on Veterans Day.
ROME, GA. — The Last Stop Gift Shop will host a public book signing on Tuesday, November 11th to feature local author Lonie B. Adcock as he signs his new and honorable novel, “A Tribute to American Veterans.”
Adcock is the author of “Elmer the Dancing Turtle,” “Memories of an Old Geezer,” and “More Memories of an Old Geezer.” He is also a guest columnist for the Rome News Tribune.
This novel is different from his previous work because the words for “A Tribute to American Veterans” were put there by the veterans. The stories and experiences were compiled into a tribute for American Veterans by Adcock.
“I did this so people would recognize some of the veterans that may or may have not been recognized because there are so many of them who aren’t,” said Adcock. “I felt that it was important to show our appreciation for all of them!”
Adcock served in the Armed Forced for the United States of America, and he served 32 years with the Rome Police Department.
Show your support this Veterans Day as you attend the book signing that honors all veterans who have served, are serving, or will serve in the future.
Adcock will be signing copies of his book from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Copies will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.
The Last Stop Gift Shop is located inside the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center at 402 Civic Center Drive. Information about the book signing or other events around Rome is located on www.RomeGeorgia.org or call 706.295.5576.
