FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tourism office announces five Superstar of Service award winners
ROME, GA. — Several individuals from various industries in Rome & Floyd County have been recognized by the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) for their outstanding customer service. Winners include: Erik Bassler of Rome-Floyd Co. Fire Department, Suzanne Gay of Ginger’s Dollings, David Greer of the City of Rome Street Department, Zana Hasko of Bella Roma Grill, and Kelly Henderson of Coosa Diagnostic.
Superstar of Service winners were announced last week as a part of National Travel & Tourism Week, May 3-11, 2014. Over 17 nominations were submitted by the general public, narrowed down and ultimately selected by GRCVB staff.
“It was a very big surprise!” said Zana Hasko, who not only delivers quality service to customers in the dining room at Bella Roma Grill, but behind the scenes cooking Italian cuisine as well. “I truly enjoy working every day and doing what I do. I just enjoy taking care of people.”
The Superstar of Service recognition program was launched by the GRCVB in 2011 to recognize individuals in all areas of service who display exceptional customer relations and care.
“We sometimes forget that great customer service can and does extend beyond the retail and hospitality sectors,” said Luke Chaffin, GRCVB special projects coordinator. “Our 2014 Superstars are proof that going the extra mile (in any industry) goes a long way to contribute to that unrivaled southern hospitality for which Georgia’s Rome has become famous.”
The Superstar of Service award is presented annually to five employees who work in Rome & Floyd County and demonstrate outstanding service to the public in any industry.
