FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: River cruise series returns Sunday to Coosa River

ROME, GA. — The Rolling on the River Sunday Cruise series aboard the Sulzbacher Roman Holiday returns to the waters Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 2 p.m.

A light narrative and history of the rivers will be presented by Capt. Norbert Falk. The river cruise will last approximately two hours, taking patrons down the Coosa River from the Heritage Park Dock to the Mayo Lock & Dam area and back.

The Coosa, Oostanaula and Etowah rivers comprise portions of what is often referred to as North America’s most diverse ecosystem.

The 45-passenger excursion boat is owned by the City of Rome and managed by the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau. In addition to public cruises, the Sulzbacher Roman Holiday is also available for rental by private individuals, school groups, parties and more.

Tour tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Tickets must be pre-purchased and are available at the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center located at 402 Civic Center Drive. The visitor center is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
