FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Special packages announced for April girls weekend getaway

ROME, GA. —The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) is now offering special weekend hotel packages in conjunction with the 3rd Annual Spring Art Market, April 11-12, 2014.

The Art Market Girls Weekend Getaway package includes a one-night stay on Friday, April 11, tickets to tour the beautiful gardens of Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum, a special gift from Georgia’s Rome, and a warm welcome at the Spring Art Market arts & crafts festival.

Packages start at $90.12 per night, all taxes included. Guests will choose accommodations from a selection of participating local hotels.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re young or old, who you are or what you do—girls just want to have fun. And the best way to do that is by getting together with other girls for a fun getaway!

Georgia’s Rome is the perfect destination for girlfriends to spoil themselves silly. Whether a full-blown weekend or a simple afternoon out, Rome has everything you need for a satisfying travel experience.

The Spring Art Market will be the shopping event that everyone in your group will enjoy. Join us at the Rome Civic Center to discover the handmade jewelry, photography, fine arts, pottery, turned wood, canned goods and more, all made by local artists.

“The Spring Art Market is the perfect opportunity to come and take home a unique, treasured item from Rome,” said Charlene Mathis, manager of the Last Stop Gift Shop and Visitor Center.

The Spring Art Market will open to the public Friday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fun isn’t over yet! Great food and sweet treats always taste better when shared with friends. Rome has plenty of restaurants that serve a wide variety of delicious cuisine, so gather around the table and gossip while you eat. You deserve to kick back and relax after a long, hard work week.

Afterwards, burn off some calories by taking a walk around Historic Downtown Rome to browse through the locally-owned specialty stores, antique shops, and bars where live music and entertainment is always keeping the night alive!

Hotel packages are available only through the GRCVB. Contact Debbie Galloway at 800.444.1834 to book your Art Market Girls Weekend Getaway package today!
