Berry College to Host Summer 2013 Farmer’s Market

ROME, Ga – The Berry Farmer’s Market will take place from 7a.m. to 1p.m. Saturday (July 13) at Berry College.

There will be several Berry Student Enterprises included in the market such as the fresh taste of the vegetables and herbs by The Berry Farms Season’s Harvest and Martha’s Herbs, Berry’s own angus beef select cuts by The Berry Farms Angus Beef, various hard and soft cheese produced from the milk of Berry’s jersey herd by The Berry Farms Jersey Milk, Adirondack chairs built by Viking Furniture,

handcrafted items by Viking Creations, gifts from Oak Hill Gift Shop, and photographs with a Berry jersey calf by The Berry Farms Agri-Education.

Vendors from the Rome community will also be there, offering home-canned vegetables, jams and jellies, fresh-cut flowers, bath and beauty products, woodworking items, and home baked breads and pastries. Berry Angus burgers will be served for $6 from 11 a. m. to 1 p.m. for lunch.

Photos with a Jersey Calf will be available for $1.

Kid activities will also be available, including Inflatables, cotton candy, face painting, and a petting zoo.
