FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: FanZONE to debut at 2013 NAIA National Championship

ROME, GA. — The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau is inviting all ticket-holders for the NAIA Football National Championship to a public street party prior to the game. The FanZONE will pump up attendees from 4pm – 7pm outside the front gates of Historic Barron Stadium in Downtown Rome.

The 57th Annual NAIA Football National Championship is being played on Thursday, December 13 at 6:30pm between Morningside College of Iowa and Marian University of Indiana. Both will play their first ever bid for the national title.

The FanZONE will provide pre-game entertainment activities to the out-of-town visitors and local Georgians attending the game.

J.D. the D.J. of Atlanta, Ga. will lead the party with music, corn hole tournaments and an outdoor Wii competition. Cheerleaders from both teams will be on site to pep the group and take pictures with fans in a goofy photo booth.

At 5:30pm, local musician Scott Thompson and Peachtree Station will take the stage in FanZONE with a concert of southern country music.

The Mid-western visitors as well as locals will be able to experience authentic New Orleans style food for purchase from exclusive food vendor Crawdaddy’s Cajun and Creole Cuisine.

The FanZONE is sponsored by the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau and the organization will be giving away a free gift to the first 250 FanZONE visitors to present their ticket to the football championship.

More information is available at www.RomeGeorgia.org or by calling the Rome – Floyd Visitor Center at 800-444-1834. Tickets to the championship game are available at www.NAIANationalChampionship.com.
