Visitor Guide

Welcome to Authentic America!

Georgia’s Rome Welcomes Visitors
from the United Kingdom!

Imagine a hot summer day, the sun beating down on your back as you paddle through the cool waters of America’s most diverse ecosystem on a kayak. Or imagine the smiles of your children as they run through the gardens of Oak Hill & the Martha Berry Museum, discovering new flowers, plants and bugs at each turn. Or imagine rediscovering your past and finding lost family connections across the six terraces of Rome’s historic Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

Few southern cities can boast the beauty and charm of Georgia’s Rome. Tucked in the foothills of the ancient Appalachian Mountains, Rome’s three rivers, Etowah, Oostanaula & Coosa, frame the downtown district for recreation & relaxation. History remains alive for everyone to experience in the many historical buildings, sites and cemeteries pristinely preserved throughout the city and county. Our classic town has grown in sophistication and seasoned in character over the decades to become a unique portrait of southern heritage and hospitality. Visit Georgia’s Rome, where the rivers meet and the mountains begin!
