The Georgia Historical Marker will be installed at 701 Broad Street recognizing the historical location of Towers’ childhood home where he was born and raised.

The Georgia Historical Marker Program is a program of the Georgia Historical Society. The marker is erected by the Georgia Historical Society, the City of Rome and the Rome Area Heritage Foundation.

The John Henry Tower Historical Marker is located across the street from the Rome Chamber on Riverside Parkway.
