Myrtle Hill Tree Tour

Discover over 35 tree species on this self-guided tour of Rome’s historic Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Many of these trees are rare and not native to Northwest Georgia. In 2018, the Georgia Urban Forest Council recognized the collection by placing it on the Landmark and Historic Tree Register.

View the map to begin; start anywhere and locate trees by name or number. Trees included in the tour are marked with stainless steel tags. Follow your own path, checking off species as you go—some appear in multiple locations, while rare or non-native trees may be found only once.
