Georgia Elite Classic Showcase Returns to Rome’s Barron Stadium December 27–28, 2025

September 26, 2025

The Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism and Rome Sports are proud to welcome the Georgia Elite Classic Showcase back to Barron Stadium on Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28, 2025. This exciting annual event will feature both tackle and flag football games, offering fans the unique opportunity to see some of Georgia’s top football talent compete live in Rome.

The Georgia Elite Classic shines a spotlight on standout high school athletes from across the state, with participants ranging from seventh grade through senior year. For many, it’s their first chance to compete on live television — giving fans a glimpse of future college and professional stars. The showcase has a strong legacy, with 12 current NFL players among its alumni.

“While more than two million fans will be tuning in from across the country, Romans have the unique opportunity to cheer them on in person,” said Rome City Manager Sammy Rich. “With our proud tradition of sports hospitality, we’re excited to welcome this event and celebrate the energy, talent, and excitement it brings to our city.”

“The Georgia Elite Classic is a fantastic opportunity for athletes to showcase their talents and pursue opportunities at the next level,” said Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord. “It also brings visitors to our community, giving them a chance to experience all that Rome and Floyd County have to offer.”
