The Floyd County Courthouse, built in 1892, showcases Romanesque Revival architecture with distinctive terra cotta grotesques on its facade. A small addition was added to the right of the front steps in the early 1920s. The site was previously home to the Davis Foundry. Today, the historic courthouse remains in use as the office of the Floyd County Tax Commissioner.
