Rocky Mountain Recreation is a beautiful area in Rome located close to the Chattahoochee National Forest and features 2 lakes with great fishing and a beach for swimming.  Enjoy the outdoors with bike trails, hiking trails, geocaching,archery and wildlife viewing. Make it a weekend and enjoy camping.

Fish Species: Largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, channel catfish, crappie, hybrid striped-white bass.

Water: Two lakes (202 & 357 acres).

Facilities: concrete boat ramps, fishing jetties, restrooms, picnic shelters, scenic overlooks, hiking trails, tent & RV camping (open year-round, first come, first serve), group primitive camping (reservation only), group picnic area (reservation only), some facilities accessible to persons with disabilities.

Fee: Daily parking ($5.00 ) or Annual ($30.00)

Rocky Mounatin PFA parking permit required (one per vehicle). WMA license is not required but a valid Georgia Fishing License is required to fish on this area. Please note that the Georgia State Park’s Pass is not accepted at Rocky Mountain.
