The Floyd County Courthouse was built in 1892. The Romanesque revival architecture features terra cotta grotesques in the facade.
A small addition was made to to the right of the front entrance steps in the early 1920s.
The Davis Foundry used to be located at this site.
The courthouse is still in operation today serving as the Floyd County Tax Commissioner’s Office.
