Meditation Garden

Overlooking Myrtle Hill at the confluence of Rome’s rivers, the Meditation Garden offers a peaceful space designed to reflect the city’s unique landscape. Created by the late landscape artist John Schulz, the garden features seven berms representing Rome’s seven hills and winding pebble paths symbolizing the Oostanaula, Etowah, and Coosa Rivers.

The garden is located at the lower entrance of Myrtle Hill Cemetery, just above the mausoleum on Branham Avenue. Visitors can walk from nearby parking areas or drive up via the access road. Free and open to the public, the garden stands as a tribute to serenity, beauty, and Rome’s natural heritage.
