Spanning 60 acres, the park includes pavilions, a concert stage, fishing spots, river access, picnic shelters, restrooms, sand volleyball courts, an ADA-accessible treehouse, Myra H Riverboat display, and the Rome-Floyd ECO Center & Wetland display area. There is also a dog park located at the Ridge Ferry Park – Shoals entrance.

The park offers great access to the multi-purpose trail system, which runs through Downtown Rome. Beware: the area of the paved trail close to the playground has areas of tree roots in pavement.
