The Sulzbacher Roman Holiday is Rome’s 40-passenger excursion boat. Public excursions are held throughout the year; it’s available for private events.

Public Tours

Public tours are geared for all ages* and are typically held the first Sunday of every month May – Oct.

  • Each tour is unique and offers perspective on how Rome’s rivers have shaped the town’s history.
  • All tours depart from Heritage Park in downtown Rome. Most tours last approximately two hours.
  • Boat captains are US Coast Guard certified and crew members adhere to US Coast Guard safety rules.
  • Tipping is encouraged for the captain and first mate.

*Please Note:

  • For children 3 and under, parents/guardians are required to bring life jackets . Tickets are not required for children 3 and under if the child sits on a parent/guardian’s lap.
  • We love our furry friends, but only service dogs are permitted.
  • Tickets will be refunded if trip is cancelled due to inclement weather.
  • The ramp from the riverside to the boat dock is steep due to river levels and is not wheelchair friendly (and can be difficult for people who have trouble walking).
  • For questions or additional information, call 706-295-5576.
