Celebrate the New Year in Georgia’s Rome

What better way to ring in the New Year than to celebrate it in Georgia’s Rome! Here are some great ways to start your new year off right!

If you’re celebrating downtown and need transportation for the evening, our Free Roman Chariots will be running on New Year’s Eve! We wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year!’

New Year's Eve at Newby Farm and Vineyard1. New Year’s Eve Party with Live Music
Time: 7 PM – 1 AM
Location: Newby Farm and Vineyard

Party with great musicians Justin Monday (7PM – 10PM) and Matty Croxton (10PM – 1AM). Tickets are $50 per person with proceeds to benefit the NW GA Council BSA Mountain Bike Trail Project at Camp Sidney Dew. Ticket includes 1 drink and appetizers, and cash bar will be available.

 

 

2. New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show
Time: 7 PM
Location: Jackson Hill

Kick off the new year with a colorful fireworks show! Atrium Health Floyd is partnering with Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation to help usher in the new year. Fireworks will be launched from Jackson Hill, allowing people throughout Rome a great opportunity to see the display.

3. New Year’s Eve Party & Live Concert
Time: 8 PM
Location: Lawrence Preserve at Horseleg Creek

Ring in the new year with music from Motown, disco, 80’s, 90’s and more from Sound Suite 5. Hear from vocalist Angela McRee as your sing along to your favorites while dancing the night away. Sauce on the Side food truck will also be available with your favorite dishes. Tickets are $20 or 2 for $35.

After New Year’s Eve

TRED First Day Hike3. TRED First Day Hike
Time: 10 AM
Location: Civic Center Drive

Start the new year on the right foot by taking part in the First Day Hike at Jackson Hill trails. Gather at the Civic Center parking lot for a moderate, 2-mile hike.

 

 

 

4. First Day Hike
Time: 12 PM
Location: Lock and Dam Road
Start the New Year off right by taking part in the First Day Hike at Lock & Dam Park. Gather for a self-led hike at noon, followed by a hot dog lunch with all the fixings. Cost is $5 per person.

 

 

 

 

5. Cave Spring Polar Plunge
Time: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

Location: Rolater Lake Swimming Pool
Take a plunge in support of Cave Spring Historical Society. Jump begins at 10 AM. Price for participants are $25 in advance and includes a t-shirt and New Year’s Day Lunch. Lunch is available for non-participants for $10.
