1. Georgia’s Rome Spring Art Market
April 10 -11 at 10:00 AM to 4 PM
Rome Civic Center: 402 Civic Center Drive
Enjoy art and products created by local makers and growers.  Discover, unique, hand-made works that are perfect for graduation and Mother’s Day gifts! This outdoor market is the perfect way to kick off spring! Free admission and parking.

2. Downtown History Tours
May 1 at 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM
300 W 1st St, Rome, GA 30161

Each downtown tour is unique where groups are led through Rome’s historic downtown to discover its history, it’s beauty and its secrets. The May tour will focus on the Cotton block of Downtown Rome to discover Rome’s storied past. Tickets on sale soon!

3. Rome Clocktower Tour
May 1 at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
300 W 1st St, Rome, GA 30161

Every first Saturday, our iconic Clocktower is open for free tours, where you can climb the steps to the very top to get the best view of our wonderful city! To help ensure social distancing, tickets are required for entry. Entry is free, but tickets must be reserved in advance. Tickets on sale soon!

4. 2021 Georgia Mushroom Festival
May 1 -May 2
Rolater Park, Cave Spring, GA

Mycology is the science of fungi, The Magical Kingdom of Fungi to be correct. At the Georgia Mushroom Festival, experts in the field of mycology will teach, lead forays in the park and and host an ID walk on the Pinhoti Trail near the town of Cave Spring where our “MushFest” takes place.

5.Hammer It Home 5k & Health Walk

You don’t have to lift a hammer to help! Join us to help Habitat for Humanity-Coosa Valley raise funds to build their home in our next community! Live 5k and Health Walk. Online Registration is Feb. 8-April 25. T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by April 15. Cost: 5k $30/ Walk $25

6. The Market Presented by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation
May 1, 2020 at 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM

Our Markets are a perfect mix of farmer’s market, flea market, yard sale, arts market, and more and even can accommodate food trucks. The event is free for shoppers and spaces cost $20 for vendors.

Join us on May 1st for the Annual Ellen Axson Wilson ArtsFest. This vibrant event will encompass craft vendors throughout downtown, along with live music throughout the district.

10. Rome Braves Opening Day: Rome Braves vs. Bowling Green Hot Rods

Catch a game to see tomorrow’s stars today! The Rome Braves is a class A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The 2021 home season kicks off with a 12-game homestand from May 18-30.


11. Broad Street Unearthed Lecture Series

Rome Area History Center
Price: $20

Learn about the history of the making of Rome! Selena Tilly, historian at the Rome Area History Center will speak how each block was built and how has transformed to what it is today! Lecture series is free and open to the public. Tickets on sale soon!
