On November 17th, the ExploreGeorgia.org Songwriter Series wraps up their six-concert series at our local Rome City Brewing Co. The sequence began in August at the Dosta Playhouse in Valdosta with artists Eliot Bronson, Joe Smothers and Randall Bramblett and we are very excited for Rome to host the finale. From Dosta, the Songwriter Series was held in Augusta with the artists Lola Gulley, Greg Hester & Keith Jenkins, and Otis Redding III. Along the route, the Songwriter series went to LaGrange College with Pat Alger, Tony Arata, and EG Knight and The Foundry in Athens. Eric Dodd is a Lake Oconee native. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Music Business and has since pursued his music career. Dodd has an EP called Fun/Fire/Rain.
Trea Landon is also a Georgia native with a self-titled album. Be sure to listen out for his singles “A Little Bit” and “When I Get There,” for they are the songs that highlight his storytelling abilities. Jordan Rager also has a self-debut EP with the single “Southern Boy” that features fellow Georgian Jason Aldean.
