Last Stop Gift Shop
The Last Stop Gift Shop announces a call for vendors to participate in the upcoming “Trash to Treasure Yard Sale” on Friday, June 24 at the Rome Civic Center parking lot. All vendor fee proceeds will benefit the Rome Clocktower Restoration Fund.
The vendor fee is $20 and allows sellers access to a 10×10 selling space. Vendors can begin setting-up at 6:30 a.m. on event day and are responsible for providing their own tables and/or tents. The yard sale will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Organizers are hoping to attract 30 yard sale vendors to sell a variety of goods including furniture, clothes, tools, small appliances, electronics, books, home décor, toys and unique items.
“The thrill of yard selling is finding that particular item you never knew you always wanted, “said event organizer, Charlene Mathis. “One person’s trash can be another person’s treasure. We hope to attract a strong attendance of buyers and sellers in efforts to raise funds for the Rome Clocktower renovations; one of our top tourist attractions and our beloved city icon.”
The yard sale will coincide with the weekly “Rome Grown, Rome Made Market” that features fresh produce and canned goods from local grower Nan Selman.
Sellers interested in purchasing a vendor space can call The Last Stop Gift Shop at 706.295.5576 or visit the shop located inside the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center at 402 Civic Center Drive (located across from Steak ‘n Shake and Applebee’s).
The deadline to purchase a vendor space is Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
