The Downtown Rome Welcome Center is recognized by the state as an official Regional Visitor Information Center (RVIC).  The accessibility of the center makes it an ideal location for visitors to access travel tips, travel brochures and find friendly trip-planning assistance. It is located inside the Rome Area History Center; the museum is free and is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm.

The Downtown Welcome Center offers many services:

  • Book Local Tours: Roman Holiday Riverboat Tours, Downtown Walking Tours and History Museum Tours.
  • Shop souvenirs: A selection of gifts from the Rome Area History Center and Georgia’s Rome Gift Shop are offered for sale at the center.

 Access directly from 303 Broad Street or stop by during your visit to the Rome Area History Center

Parking
Street Parking:  3 hour parking limit (free)
3rd Avenue Parking Deck:  Located behind the gift shop and adjacent to the Town Green by the urban riverfront ( $1/hr, first hour free)
