The Rome-Floyd County Library is member of the Sara Hightower Regional Library System and serves the people of Rome and the surrounding areas.

The library offers a variety of services, including public computers and access to the Heritage Room, which houses historical databases for study on the Civil War, the Cherokee Indian nation, local/Georgia/Southern history, as well as genealogical research.

The Rome-Floyd County Library is also home to a variety of programs and materials for children of all ages, including Story Time, summer reading programs, and movies throughout the year.

The upstairs gallery walls features a variety of community art exhibitions year-round.
