Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home, The Seven Hills Tellers and the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau presents The Big Fibber Contest. A fun night for the whole family! Come see who is the biggest fibber! Stories will be judged and prizes awarded, and the audience will judge the fibs too! If you have a story, a fib, a tall tale, or something that almost really happened, sign up to tell your fib! Must be over 16 years old to tell and stories must be 3 to 5 minutes long. One night only, April 1st (April Fool's Day, y'all!) Admission: $4.00 adults and $2.00 for children under 12, but admission is free if you sign up to tell your tale!

You may also sign up via email - debrown4@bellsouth.net or come to the museum between 6 and 7 p.m. on April 1st. Stories start at 7p.m. Limited number of spaces for fibbers, so sign up early! For information call the museum at 706 291-9494. All tales must be suitable for general audiences - no cussing or fussing, and there is a 5 minute time limit on telling your tall tale.
