Last Stop Gift Shop to Host Holiday Open House and Book Signing

ROME, GA. — The Last Stop Gift Shop will host its Holiday Open House from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on Dec. 20 to give locals and visitors alike, some great ideas for holiday gifts. There will be refreshments as well as complimentary gift wrapping available on all gift purchases.

There will also be a book singing for Barry Wright’s new book. Wright’s book, “John Paul Cooper: Georgia Giant in the Revival of Cotton during the Early 1900’s” details the story of Cooper’s life using his own writings passed down in the Cooper family.

The book is available at the Last Stop Gift Shop, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shop is located inside the Rome-Floyd Visitor Center and offers beautiful collections of handmade art, jewelry, pottery, books, gourmet selections and Georgia’s Rome souvenirs. The gift shop is located on Jackson Hill across from Applebee’s.
