Historical Markers Tour

Rome is full of rich history. You can immerse yourself with this interactive guide to our historical markers around the city, learning bits and pieces about our history. Perfect for taking up an afternoon or an easygoing day with nice weather!

Clocktower Tour

Every first Saturday, our iconic clocktower is open for free tours, where you can see the history of Rome in a painted mural depicting the founding of Rome through present day. You can even climb the steps to the very top to get the best view of our wonderful city!

Myrtle Hill Tree Tour

Myrtle Hill Cemetery Tour

One of the most beautiful cemeteries in the nation sits atop Myrtle Hill at the confluence of the Etowah, Oostanaula and Coosa rivers. Offering an unimpeded view of downtown Rome, Georgia, to the northeast, the Etowah Valley to the east, and the Appalachian foothills to the south, the cemetery boasts spectacular vistas and historic significance which combine to make it one of the most unique in the world.
