Mark your calendars now for these FREE, fun, family events!

Carnegie Little Free Library

Built exactly like the original Carnegie Library in Rome, this mini library is designed for people to give a book and take a book, encouraging the community to read and donate books, sharing their favorites with others. It’s always worth checking out when walking in downtown Rome.

Free Art Fridays

Every Friday, a different artist around Rome will drop off a piece of art and give clues on social media where you can find it. It’s a fun way to get out with the kids and also get a free piece of cool art!

Downtown Rome First Saturdays – May – October

Instead of our First Fridays and Block Parties from years past, Rome has deciding to try and combine them for a one of a kind experience that involves all of downtown! With much of the area closed down for a festival featuring live music, food, shopping and art. Bring the whole family and have a blast!

Rome Shakespeare Festival

An outdoor performance unlike any other in Georgia! The Rome Shakespeare Festival will present Romeo & Juliet and Twelfth Night on alternating evenings during the festival week, May 30-June 4, 2017. This fun outdoor event is sure to entertain the entire family!
