Tennis Ball at Iconic Clocktower for March Into Tennis Month

ROME, GA. — Rome’s iconic Clocktower Hill has donned a 7 foot Georgia’s Rome Tennis Ball for the day to launch March Into Tennis. As part of the month long tennis celebration, the ball will move around Rome to unannounced locations.

The public is encouraged to be a part of the March into Tennis month fun.  Spot the tennis ball, snap a photo with the ball and post the image on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the tag #RomeTennis.  Select photos will be highlighted and shared on Georgia’s Rome social media pages.

Rome-Floyd Tennis Director, David Araiza says the goal of the 7 foot tennis ball is to raise awareness of Rome’s great tennis programs and facilities.  “Rome is a great tennis town and is excited to offer a complete calendar of tennis events, classes and training for people at all skill levels and all ages.” The Rome-Floyd Tennis Center and Rome Tennis Academy are offering a full month of March into Tennis events.

The location of the ball will change weekly starting Tuesday, March 3. The ball will move to a highly visible location in Rome every Monday in March. The public is encouraged to locate the ball and post tagged photos on social media.

The Rome-Floyd Tennis Center is located at 301 West Third Street.  For  a full calendar of March Into Tennis activities, visit cvta.us. For questions on any of the planned tennis events and activities contact David Araiza at 706-290-0072, daraiza@rfpra.com.
